GEORGE CHOMAKOV

A longtime footballer, George has played across a wide variety of levels, ultimately leading into a professional career with Detroit City FC. Also an entrepreneur, George is the founder of Champion Grind, an athletic clothing company focused on delivering the highest quality to its customers. George is a Bulgarian immigrant who settled in Michigan at an early age and began his dream of chasing a professional contract. Playing with Detroit City FC since 2014, George was one of the longest rostered players in club history. Serving as an assistant coach to Javi for the 2021 MWPL season, he was vital in bridging the gap between the reserve and the professional side. He also has experience as the head coach for Sporting Detroit (MPSL), winning the Open Division championship and finishing as runners up in the League Cup. He was also an assistant at Hamtrack High School as well as Schoolcraft College (JUCO).
